NEUROSCIENCE NEUROTRANSMITTER TESTING

Center for Eating Disorders:
The Center for Eating Disorders, is an outpatient treatment center that specializes in the overlap between disordered eating symptoms (such as compulsively overeating, unusual eating patterns and obsessive thoughts about food and body image) and attention problems (such as easy distractibility, difficulty maintaining focus, and impulsivity.) The treatment approach incorporates Dr. Dukarm's discovery of the link between eating disorders and ADD and that treating the underlying ADD (which is often undiagnosed) frequently leads to a complete recovery from the eating disorder symptoms. Using nutritional supplements can effectively treat the symptoms of both the ADD and the eating disorder. Utilizing the Neuroscience neurotransmitter test provides a quantitative way of measuring neurotransmitter levels to determine which nutritional supplements to utilize, therefore providing a customized, individualized approach to treatment.

Neuroscience Neurotransmitter test:
The Neuroscience Neurotransmitter Profile is a laboratory test that provides valuable information on neurotransmitter levels (for example, serotonin, dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine.) Data on levels of neurotransmitters from a urine sample allow us to make customized recommendations of nutritional supplements. The concept of identifying specific neurotransmitter imbalances and supplementing these imbalances with neurotransmitter precursors has proven quite effective. NeuroScience, Inc. has developed more than 25 formulas that specifically address the spectrum of neurotransmitter imbalances.
